Meeting Notes... There are two meetings in December 2005:

Topic: Holiday time, so anything goes. Be a little imaginative.
Meeting at Tamarac 7:30pm Thursday December 22

This is really magical... One of our members, Steve Delgado became a father of a baby boy named LANCE. The happy event occurred the night after Wilma arrived. Steve and his wife were traveling on I-95 that evening when a police patrol car stopped them and asked why they were out driving under these circumstances. He told the officers that they were going to the hospital, as she was about to give birth. The officers then decided to lead them to the hospital just in case there were any problems. Very nice story to be told at this very happy time of the year. Congratulations to both Steve and Alicia and now Lance has about 90 grandparents.

Annual Dinner...We have made arrangements for our annual installation dinner dance. The date is Sunday January 22, 2006. Treasurer Phil LaBush will chair the event and board member Mike Shelly will chair the entertainment portion for the evening. Please do not procrastinate and send me your reservation for our dinner. Give me the information at our meeting this Wednesday or mail It to me as soon as possible. If you intend to bring guests and are waiting for answers from them, please let me know that you intend to come to the affair.

A very Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to all our members that are celebrating either one of these holidays.

The first meeting in September held on Sept. 14, had as its topic "From a book or Tape" or anything else. It was emceed by Stan Ackerman. Henry Epstein expertly divined a randomly-selected number while performing "Mental Portfolio". Steve Zudeck, performing "Equal To It" predicted a chosen card when the contents of a package of Equal sweetener was emptied revealing a miniature card equal to the selection. Amazing Sammy Chiprut started be showing us "Spring Water", a water bottle with a Slinky attached to its bottom. He followed with a performance of "3 Card Jumbo Monte Plus".

Vinnie Rosenbluth made several half-dollars appear and then utilized them in showing us "Coins Across". Jeff Devido, in keeping with the assigned topic, performed Ammar's "Play It Straight". Paul Sifen deftly performed "The Ribbon of Steel". Larry Bertucelli performed what was "an impossibility" with "The Mystery Deck". Billy Byron demonstrated his full routine doing "Five Card Stunner". Sid Marcus made a marked coin disappear and subsequently found in a nest small dishes.

Steve Cramer again showed his manual dexterity performing an Ace Assembly and then Progressive Aces. Ron Lubman showed us his own routine he entitled "The Large Thumb Tip". Joe Perlmutter announced that the two tricks he would perform came from tapes, namely Pavel's "Jumping Knots" and Daryl's "Rope Through Neck". Mark Horowitz gave a micro-lecture on the utilization of flourishes before performing any effects. Stan Ackerman showed "Patriotic Linking Ropes".
