Meeting Notes... There are two meetings in
December 2005:
Topic: Holiday time, so anything goes. Be a little imaginative.
Meeting at Tamarac 7:30pm Thursday December 22
This is really magical... One of our members, Steve Delgado
became a father of a baby boy named LANCE. The happy event occurred the night
after Wilma arrived. Steve and his wife were traveling on I-95 that evening
when a police patrol car stopped them and asked why they were out driving under
these circumstances. He told the officers that they were going to the hospital,
as she was about to give birth. The officers then decided to lead them to the
hospital just in case there were any problems. Very nice story to be told at
this very happy time of the year. Congratulations to both Steve and Alicia and
now Lance has about 90 grandparents.
Annual Dinner...We have made arrangements for our annual installation
dinner dance. The date is Sunday January 22, 2006. Treasurer Phil LaBush will
chair the event and board member Mike Shelly will chair the entertainment portion
for the evening. Please do not procrastinate and send me your reservation for
our dinner. Give me the information at our meeting this Wednesday or mail It
to me as soon as possible. If you intend to bring guests and are waiting for
answers from them, please let me know that you intend to come to the affair.

Coming Up... Mark Horowitz is in the process and having a
lecture for our club in February. More later.
I am in the process of completing the information for a new roster to be hopefully
distributed by March to our membership. I hope to have the draft available for
the membership for any corrections, if necessary in January.
A very Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to all our members that are celebrating
either one of these holidays.
Official Business...the following members were presented to
the membership to lead us for the year 2006. Officers,
President Dr. Mark Horowitz, Vice President Jeff Devido, Treasurer Phil Labush,
Joe Perlmutter, Secretary. 2 Year directors Gary Rock and Buddy Stein. There
were no nominations from the membership and the nominations were closed. As
usual, the official voting will be at our December meeting. Roger Firestone,
Bill Lucas and Mike Shelly remain as directors for one more year and Tim Whitman
remains as past president.
If you have any information changes or a picture you would
like to use on the website, email the picture or changes to Buddy Stein at buddy@fortLauderdaleMagic.com.
